Minneapolis
,
MN
(4-16-11) – Outsmarting the Bad Guys: A Personal Safety Guide for Women, the
seventh book by Susan Martinez, was released April 15th, just in time
for National
Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
The sad truth is that nearly one in six
American women will experience an attempted or completed rape at some point in
her life. The message and the
safety tips in this book will change the way you think about your personal
safety and help keep you out of harm's way.
Susan Martinez is a second-degree black
belt, a personal safety expert, a grandmother, and the mother of a teen who was
abducted one block from home by a stranger. Her daughter fought back and
survived the attack because she knew what to do before
the unthinkable happened to her. Knowledge saved her life.
Martinez
says, “The world is littered with bad guys,
sexual predators, raging spouses, and low-lifes that prey upon women and
children. It happens every day in every country in the world. The good
news is that most attacks are preventable if you know how to outsmart the bad
guys.”
Some topics included in Outsmarting
the Bad Guys are: Act smarter and be safer at home, at work, or out and
about, Spot and avoid Internet predators, Benefit from the self-defense secrets
known to martial artists, Awaken the “peaceful warrior” within you, and Help
your kids deal with bad guys, bullies, and mean girls.
Bad guys are pretty smart.
They have to be in order to capture their victims.
Are you smarter than a bad guy? If not, you should read
Outsmarting the Bad Guys, a
new book by seven-time author, Susan Martinez.
Martinez
adds, “Every two and a half minutes a sexual
assault happens somewhere in
America
. Crime statistics suck!
Don’t be one.”
