NEW eBook by Susan Martinez, “Outsmarting the Bad Guys” teaches women how to wise up and outwit predators

Edina, MN (6-16-10) – Minneapolis author and black belt, Susan Martinez, releases a new eBook: Outsmarting the Bad Guys: A Personal Safety Guide for Women.

Outsmarting the Bad Guys is a handbook for women of all ages who want to avoid predators and dangerous situations.  Statistics are mind-boggling, especially for young women.  One out of four women on college campuses will be sexually assaulted!*

The author is a second degree black belt, mother of five grown children, grandmother of two, and a wife. In 1989 one of Susan’s teenage daughters was grabbed off the street by an armed stranger and dragged into a nearby park to be raped.  But her daughter fought back and was able to escape because of the advice her mother, the martial artist, had given her.

Martinez says that many attacks on women are preventable...if they know what to do. In 75 pages, Martinez will enlighten the reader on the topic of personal safety and reveal secrets of self-defense known only to trained martial artists.  It’s a collection of simple, effective, do-able things that every woman can do to prevent and survive attacks.  It encourages women to get out of their “victim thinking” and empowers them to live as strong, confident beings.  (Bad guys like weak women.)  Some topics covered are: Safety while Dating/Drinking, Safety in the Workplace, Safety and Internet Relationships, Preventing Home Invasions and Carjackings.

Outsmarting the Bad Guys is a MUST HAVE for teens and young women dating and on college campuses, for everyday women out and about and living their lives, and for mothers and grandmothers who want to be stronger and live safer from harm.

For only $3.95, Outsmarting the Bad Guys is an affordable source of life-saving tips and wisdom.  Visit www.tjsusan.com/publishing.htm to order the eBook.  Susan Martinez is the author of six books and the founder of Black Belt Do-Gooders (Just a bunch of black belts doing a few good deeds.)  ##END##
